“A Long Way From Egypt” showing at Virginia Theater in Shelley

A play inspired by the works of P.G. Wodehouse is showing at The Virginia Theater in Shelley.

“A Long Way From Egypt” is showing on Jan. 19, 23, 26 and 27, at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a matinee at 2 p.m. on Jan. 27.

“A family friendly farce inspired by the works of P.G. Wodehouse of Jeeves and Wooster fame, A Long Way from Egypt is the 1920s story of a house-party at an English country estate involving loves won and lost, a silent film in the making, a wandering mummy, several cases of mistaken identity, and the chaos that ensues when they all collide,” according to the theater’s website.
