I was the driver of this car that had the whole back end torn off and tossed over the canal, through a wood fence and against their house, denting their siding. Thanks to the speedy work of Max and Dixie Fink, who called 911, I was helped very quickly. You have the story wrong. The girl who went into the canal couldn't get her door open and was pounding on the window she couldn't get open. Thanks to the speedy work of Max, he pushed her car up onto the bank and got her out through the back. She was about 5 to 10 min. away from drowning. This was on May 14th and I just got out of the hospital on May 23rd. The accident dislodged a big kidney stone I had no idea I had so I had to have that blasted and then operated on to take out the most of them. Keep in mind that driving is the most dangerous thing most of us do on a daily basis. Be a defensive driver and stay alert to any possible danger. I was driving under the speed limit and doing everything right and I may still end up with lingering problems. Talk to you teen drivers and help them be aware of what can happen if they do not stay alert. Show them this picture and pray that they listen to you.

Thank you for the great write up about my brother, Dell and his knowledge of Idaho. We learned much of it from our parents and Dell got his interest in horses at a very young age.
We have pictures of him sitting on the family horse almost before he could walk. My sister, who lives in Utah and I were privileged to ride on Dell's wagon train across the Fort Hall bottoms. What a fun day talking of old times at home; memories of our parents, singing old songs as we rode along with him and enjoyed the beautiful scenes. We get in a big hurry going here and there and forget to enjoy the ride.
