Lewis and Vivian Johnson celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

Lewis and Vivian Johnson celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 19.

They met at a Relief Society social and were married a year later in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 19, 1947. Lewis was born and raised in Firth, Idaho and Vivian was born and raised in the Snake River area. Both came from large families who farmed and performed other jobs to make ends meet during the depression.

They are the proud parents of five children Craig, Becky (deceased), Cheryl, Renita, and Judy and raised their family in Pocatello.

They lived on Filmore in their early married life and made many lasting friendships there. In 1966 they built a house near the newly-built Highland High School. They spent many hours improving their yard and garden and similarly made many lasting friendships while living in the Highland area.

They love camping and traveling, gardening and family history. Lewis and Vivian have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Their family, friends, and neighbors love, respect and honor this wonderful couple and congratulate them on all they have achieved in their life together.
