Lt. Gov. Brad Little to visit Pocatello, Blackfoot on Thursday

POCATELLO – Lt. Gov. Brad Little will be in Pocatello and Blackfoot Thursday, April 20.

Lt. Gov. Little schedule will include the following stops on Thursday:

9:30 a.m. – Bingham Academy – Meet with students and educators. Lt. Gov. Little will ask the high school students during his meeting a question: What can the state do to help you be able to stay Idaho?

4 p.m. – Earthquake Preparation Planning – Lt. Gov. Little will be briefed on the high potential for an earthquake in southeast Idaho. According to the USGS there is over a 60 percent chance that a 6.0 or greater earthquake could hit the region. According to an impact study done by Bengal Solutions at ISU’s College of Business, the economic losses due to such an event could be in excess of $300 million. Officials from the Idaho Office of Emergency Management will be on hand at this meeting as well. This meeting will take place in room 504 in the College of Business Building on ISU’s Pocatello campus.
