IDAHO FALLS — Area law enforcement officers arrested an Ammon man and a Blackfoot woman in connection to warrants and drugs on Saturday morning.

Idaho Falls police say Nicholas Olsen, 34, and Chanel Bistodeau, 32, were both arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and resisting and obstructing law enforcement. Both were also wanted on Bingham County warrants, and Olsen was wanted on a U.S. Marshal warrant.

Idaho Falls police, along with their department’s SWAT team, and officers with the U.S. Marshal’s Office, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police responded to Fairbridge Inn & Suites on Lindsay Boulevard after they received a tip that Olsen was at the hotel, according to a news release. Officers were able to take both suspects into custody at that time, and they seized methamphetamine and heroin found in their room.
